Buana FM

Buana FM is a community radio station in Indonesia that combines ethnic heritage and entertainment. It began in 2007 as an extracurricular project at SMA Islam Buana and broadcasts on 107.70 MHz in Kroya, Jawa Tengah. Initially known as ISNAYAFM, it was renamed Buana FM in 2018 after getting legal broadcasting approval. The station’s purpose is to preserve local culture in the midst of globalization, with programs highlighting regional customs, dialects, and values. Buana FM also acts as a venue for students to hone their broadcasting skills, with content that includes educational segments, religious discourses, and community conversations. Buana FM, which is supported by Central Java’s Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID), plays an important role in developing local identity and community participation.
